We are honored to have Kara Anstett, a Clinical Genetic Counselor from the NYU Comprehensive Neurofibromatosis Center, as our guest speaker.  This webinar covers important topics including diagnostic criteria for NF2-Schwannomatosis, genetic tests, family members, types of genetic testing, and the significance of mutation types. She also discusss the genetic severity score, mosaicism, and its impact on health and family planning.

NF2 Drug Development Update: Bacteria-Mediated Immunotherapy – January 14th 2023

We held a webinar on the topic of “NF2 Drug Development Update: Bacteria-Mediated Immunotherapy”. It took place virtually on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 11:00 am ET over Zoom.
NF2 BioSolutions funded the preclinical research of Dr. Brenner and Dr. Mekalanos and it led to the creation of the biotech Mulberry Biotherapeutics. NF2 BioSolutions is supporting MulberryBio to make sure they will succeed in establishing a clinical trial and developing a drug for NF2 patients and patients suffering from sporadic Schwannomas.

Immunotherapy: Adoptive Cell Therapy with Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes – February 28th, 2022

 

Monday 28th of February is Rare Disease Day, and NF2 Biosolutions will raise funds to sponsor a new approach for tackling Neurofibromatosis type 2. This approach is called Adoptive Cell Therapy with Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes, it is a type of novel immunotherapy that has been used and it’s effective in other cancers. On Monday we will also hold a webinar where Dr. Claire O’Leary will explain the objective of this project and how immunotherapy could be the answer to NF2 mutations.
