Planned giving is a general term used to explain donations that are a part of a person’s overall estate plan. As you consider what to do with the resources you have built over your lifetime and the missions you have cared most about, you can direct what happens to your excess worth by planning ahead for your end-of-life decisions.
Planned giving can be done in many ways, through wills or trusts, life insurance policies or other retirement assets.

A Bequest can be included in a new will, or added to an existing will or living trust through a simple amendment called a codicil — often without the expense of hiring a lawyer. By naming NF2 BioSolutions as a recipient of a planned gift from your estate, the Board of Directors of will responsibly use your gift where needed and in the most prudent fashion to aid our mission find a cure for Neurofibromatosis Type 2, whether it be sustaining our current research programs or launch major new initiatives.
The following steps will guide you in accomplishing a planned gift:

If you do not have a will or living trust, when you hire a professional to write one for you, be sure to have the lawyer or estate planner write your gift intentions in an addendum.

If you already have a will or living trust, contact your lawyer or estate planner and have your intentions written into an addendum or seek out an amendment (codicil) that you can file without a lawyer (see above).

You can make NF2 BioSolutions a recipient of your IRA or life insurance policy by making us your beneficiary

Once you have the addendum or amendment in place, please fill out the NF2Biosolutions Planned Gift Intent Form found here then mail or email it back to us at terri@nf2biosolutions.org
When we receive the form and are aware of your intentions, we will include you in our Planned Giving Legacy Society. Once a year we will meet on a Zoom call to celebrate our legacy and thank you for your gift.
