The objectives of our fundraising & events is to increase awareness of NF2 and to raise funds so that we can sponsor NF2 research at the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre, University of Manchester (you can read more about our research on the research page leading to new treatments or a cure for NF2.

Since the charity was incorporated, we have raised over £200,000

Volunteer/Ambassador

As a volunteer patient-led charity we are always in need of volunteers, you could be helping with fundraising, social media, ideas, attending events/conferences. Or perhaps you have a particular skill that could be useful to us, eg designing, networking, public speaking.  Volunteering your time is one of the many ways you can get involved, help us in our objective and continue to raise awareness of NF2. Our ambassadors connect within their community, help to fundraise and raise awareness. If you are interested, please email joanne@nf2biosolutions.org

Companies/Corporates

There are lots of ways your company can help us and can get involved with us. Like many charities, we rely on individual donations to fund our research, We’re a very small charity and we are ENTIRELY volunteers, who are patients, family, friends, or carers of someone living with NF2. Everyone has lived experience of NF2. People with NF2 are affected by Brain Tumours, Spine Tumours, Optical Tumours, Deafness, Blindness, Seizures, vocal chord paralysis, mobility problems, chronic pain, cataracts, facial palsy … & much more!

• Charity of the year
• Events – You could hold an event to benefit us, (eg Golf Days, charity evenings, raffles etc)
• Support someone who works with you who has NF2 by donating or holding a fundraiser in their honour.
• Corporate Donations – companies benefit from this also with their tax returns
• Staff Fundraising – get staff involved in bake sales, coffee mornings or festive/themed sponsored fun days (think Christmas Jumpers!) – lots of ideas to raise funds!

Legacy Giving

Giving money to charity in your Will is a great way to leave a positive legacy for the future. It can also reduce the amount of tax paid by the rest of your estate so your family can get the most out of their inheritance
