Poem by Camille

Patience little girl, do not fret over the unknown

You are safe here and now

no need to feel alone.

The sensations they aren’t pleasant

You want to run and flee.

Instead, although uncomfortable you can let them be.

“No” I say “I can’t do that, these feelings just aren’t right.”

“No they’re not, but stressing will keep them in too tight”

“So what do I do? Just sit in my own suffering? Try not to push them away?”

“Welcome them, say hi, they may not choose to stay.”

“This is hard, I do not know what lies behind each day”

“We never do. So much is life. We’re in a constant sway.”

“Each day brings new and drys out the old, isn’t that amazing?

“So do not fret each day will be better, and feel as good as an old sweater.”
