Lyn-lyn de los Angeles
My name is Lyn-lyn de los Angeles, and I am very happy to represent the Philippines as an NF2 Biosolutions ambassador. I was diagnosed with NF2 when I was 39. I am now 54, a single parent with a 22 year old son who fortunately does not have NF2. I realized that my NF2 struggles are easier compared to those I have met in our NF2 community here in the Philippines and so I have made it a commitment to contribute whatever I can do for the N2 community. I am a working single mother, and though I have so much difficulty competing in a working environment dominated by people with complete, normal physical functions, I have managed to perform way above some of my superiors’ expectations. This strength and confidence, I would want to put into good use while serving as ambassador of NF2 BioSolutions for my country. In a country where access to medical services is a prime issue, it is my hope that all Filipinos with NF2, regardless of their economic status would have free access to the soon to be discovered cure to end our struggles.
